MYRTH STRICKLAND BANKSTON

Memorial Services for Myrth Strickland Bankston, 93, of West Monroe, LA will 
be held at Whitehall Cemetery near Leeton, LA at a later date. 

Myrth was born November 5, 1920 in Mansfield, LA and passed away March 12, 
2014 in West Monroe, LA. Her first marriage was to Allen W. Lee of Leeton, LA 
in 1941 that later passed away in February 1967. In 1980, Mrs. Bankston 
married Carl Bankston of Franklin, LA and became widowed in January 1988. 

She was a life-long teacher, retiring from St. Martin Episcopal School in 
Metairie, LA in 1983. Myrth moved from Metairie, LA to West Monroe, LA in 
March 2005. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in West Monroe, 
LA. Preceding her in death were her parents, I.C. and Lois Zeagler Strickland.

Survivors include four sons, Robert A. Lee of West Monroe, LA, Richard G. Lee 
of Sarasota, FL, Roger S. Lee of Sarasota, FL and Charles Edward Lee of St. 
Louis, MO; eight grandchildren, Carolyn Lee Allen of Paducah, KY, J. Benton 
Lee of Monroe, LA, Burk Lee of Seattle, WA, Allen Lee of Sarasota, FL, Mrs. 
Aimee' Lee Molnar of Marion, IN, Brandon Lee of Washington, IL, and Scott and 
Adelaide Lee of Chicago, IL; and six great grandchildren
