JERRY BARDIN

Jerry Bardin, 79, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away March 14, 2015. 
He was born September 23, 1935 in Marion, Louisiana to Silas and Dolly B. 
(Reppond) Bardin. Jerry was a successful restauranteur with businesses in 
Memphis, Jackson, Tennessee, St. Louis, Coco Beach, Florida, and Natchez, 
Mississippi. He was a sportsman who enjoyed duck and deer hunting, fishing, 
NASCAR, and golf. He was also an amateur student of the civil war. During his 
life he was privileged to travel through North and Central America, Europe, 
Israel and Egypt.

Jerry was a member of the Spa City R.V. Club and traveled often with friends. 
He and his wife Mae served as the camp hosts for Arkansas State Parks. After 
his retirement he started a BBQ catering service and won the Great BBQ Cook-off 
in Des Moines, Iowa.

He was a 32° mason, a former Grand Master of his lodge, and a member of the Al 
Chymia Temple. Jerry was an avid supporter of the Shiners Children's Hospital. 
He was also a member of the Baptist church where he served as a Sunday School 
teacher and committee member. Of late, he was a congregant of Jessieville First 
Baptist Church. Jerry was a follower of Jesus Christ, devoted in his faith and 
a student of the Bible.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Christine Graham; and nephew 
Chuck Graham. Survivors include, devoted wife of almost 48 years, Mae Bardin; 
sons Michael Scott Bardin (Beverly) and Dr. Randall Maurice Cummings; daughters 
Sharon "Pat" Pillow (Randy) and Renee Holmes (Chuck); grandchildren Jonathan, 
Timothy and Joel Cummings, Heath, Dylan and Grant Bardin, Kendal Kimbell, Dr. 
Keel Williams, Taylor and Savannah Pillow; great grandchildren Tylar and Bryce 
Kimbell.

A visitation will be held at Caruth Village Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00 - 
7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be at First Baptist Church in Marion, 
Louisiana at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Concord Cemetery.

Jerry's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
