John Holdiness officiating. Interment will follow in Legion Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 - 7:30 pm Sunday, October 19, 2014, at the church. Mrs. Barfield was born March 5, 1933, in Newellton to the union of Ernest Charlie and Rosetta Mae Roberts Stone and passed from this life on October 17, 2014 in Pineville. Mrs. Barfield was a member of Bethany Baptist Church for over sixty years. She loved to quilt and garden. She also loved sports especially when her children or grandchildren were participating. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert "Bob" Barfield; two brothers: Clarence and Delma Stone. Survivors include her two daughters: Barbara Montgomery and husband Randy of Bristow, VA; Lynn Blanche and husband Edwin of St. Joseph; two sons: Bobby Barfield and wife Angie of Dry Prong; Mark Barfield and wife Kay of Leesburg, GA; two sisters Florece Foster of Iberia, MO; Libby Varner and husband Paul of Collierville, TN; nine grandchildren: Brooks Blanche and wife Erin, Lane Blanche, Thomas Montgomery and wife Hannah, Jason Montgomery and wife Gina, Olivia Barfield, Riley Kate Barfield, Georgia Barfield, Hunter Barfield, Megan Barfield; and eight great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Hunter Barfield, Aaron Barfield, Brooks Blanche, Lane Blanche, Winn Blanche, Jason Montgomery and Thomas Montgomery.
