DOROTHY RUTH BARKER

Mrs. Dorothy Ruth Hamner Barker, 83, of West Monroe, LA was born on August 28, 
1932 in Shreveport, LA and passed away on July 8, 2016 in West Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Barker served as Director of the Ouachita Valley Public Library in West 
Monroe, LA. She made many friends through the library and loved the community 
that she lived in. Mrs. Barker is preceded in death by her husband, John W. 
Barker.

Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Barker; and her son, John Barker; along 
with numerous cousins.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 10, 2016 
at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Memorials may be made to the Ouachita Valley Public Library or to Louisiana 
Hospice and Palliative Care.
