Mrs. Eula Barnes, 95 of West Monroe, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 1997 at First Assembly of God in West Monroe with Rev. Otis Moore officiating, assisted by Rev. Leonard Sapp. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery of Monroe under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe. Mrs. Barnes died Monday, November 10, 1997 at St. Francis Medical Center. Mrs. Barnes was a charter member of First Assembly of God in West Monroe, where she taught Sunday School for over 50 years, and held other duties at the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Barnes, Sr. and her son, Charles Barnes, Jr. Survivors include three daughters: Lavon Oglesbee and her husband Buddy of West Monroe, Charlene Dunn of West Monroe, and Marilyn Tidwell and her husband Fermon of Grand Prairie, TX; six grandchildren: Gary Oglesbee, Lori Oglesbee, Billy Foster, Rev. Johnny Foster, David Barnes, and Charles Barnes III; eleven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces,nephews and other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Scott Oglesbee, Gary Oglesbee, David Barnes, Charles Barnes III, Billy Foster, and Rev. Johnny Foster. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church on Wednesday.
