West Monroe, LA

Funeral service for Mrs. Helen M. Thomas Barnett, 102, of West Monroe, LA will 
be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 23, 2009, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral 
Home West Monroe with Dr. Jerry Edmondson officiating. Interment will follow 
in Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens.

Mrs. Barnett passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2009, in West Monroe. She was a 
Charter Member of Fair Park Baptist Church, where she was the secretary for 
over 20 years. Mrs. Barnett was also a member of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alson Jennings Barnett, two 
grandchildren, Kurt Barnett and Donald Eugene Paul, Jr.; and brothers and 
sisters, James Madison Thomas, Sally Thomas Morris, William Jefferson Thomas, 
and Mildred Thomas.

Survivors include her children, Eva Ruth Barber; Helen Cheek and husband Ken; 
Sophia Paul and husband Donald; and Alson Barnett, Jr. and wife Lynn; 
grandchildren, Linda, Ken, Anna, Angelia, Elisa, Terry, Ramona, Monty, and 
Arabella; seventeen great grandchildren; and ten great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be great grandsons.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday at Mulhearn Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Fair Park Baptist Church.
