He was preceded in death by his father Jerry W. Barnette. John spent the last days of his life in the hospital where he had spent more days than he would have cared to remember. With his mother, Judy, and Aunt Nancy and Uncle Ken by his side; who, so softly sang and prayed with him; John's sister, Patti and brother, Fred and sister, Suzanne who so equally and diligently tended to him. He is survived by his mother, Judy Barnette; sister, Patti Barnette; brother, Fred Barnette and wife Lana, and their children, Taylor and Anna; sister, Suzanne Huffman and husband Burl Huffman, Jr.; children, Taylor Bryce, and Regan; and many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. John graduated from Ouachita High School where he made a lot of friends that he treasured. John will be remembered as a very generous and caring man and never backed away from helping. John was Manager at Hydraulic Depot with a passion for helping people get their equipment up and running again. The over 20 people who worked with John knew they could always count on him to come and help when called. When John's nieces and nephews came into his life he knew that he had a whole new world of forever friends and the fun that they have had will never be forgotten by his family. From hunting and fishing to jet skiing, tubing, video games, sports, and card games, his life was full. He liked nothing better than sitting around the fire at the camp with family and friends and someone cooking good food even breakfast in the duck blind. The family would like to thank the staff of Ouachita Dialysis and NLDC. He respected Dr. Olinde, Dr. Yount, Nurse Elaine at Renal Associates.
