Lynn Malone officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Barton died Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center. He was a WWII Navy Veteran stationed at Pearl Harbor. He retired as the Meat Director of Flemming Foods. Mr. Barton was a 32 Degree Mason and Past Master of Downsville Lodge F&AM and a member of Graham Surghour Masonic Lodge #383 F&AM, a member of Barak Shrine Temple, The Jesters Court 187, and a member of Anna Gray Noe Sunday School Class. Mr. Barton was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Barton; daughter, Nancy Holyfield; and son, Mark Barton. Survivors include daughters, Sharon Tennison, Mary Ann Butler and husband Butch; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 1:30 PM until service time Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Anna Gray Noe Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church, Monroe, or Lakeshore Baptist Church.
