CONRAD A. BATSON

Funeral services for Conrad A. "Sonny" Batson, 74, of the Swartz Community, 
are on Tuesday, August 17th, 2010, at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of the Kilpatrick 
Funeral Home of Monroe with Rev. Andy Myrick officiating. Interment follows at 
Mulhearn Memorial Park under the direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of 
Monroe.
Born December 25th, 1935, in Swartz, LA, he was a son of the late Arthur and 
Opal Staley Batson. Mr. Batson passed away Sunday, August 15th, in Monroe, LA, 
following a short illness.
A member of the Loch Arbor Baptist Church, "Sonny" was a retired surveyor with 
the State of Louisiana DOTD.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 52 years, Jean Batson; 2 sons, Carl 
Batson and Robert Batson and wife, Donna; grandchildren, Justin Smith, Willie 
Ates, Megan and Adam Batson, and Ashley Peterson; great granddaughter, Tessa 
Maria Foster; brother Gordon Batson and wife, Debra; and nephew, Eric Batson.
Active pallbearers are Eric Batson, Earl Takewell, Justin Smith, Ed Roberts, 
John David Nixs, and Robert Dunham. Carl Batson will serve as an honorary 
pallbearer.
Visitation is from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, August 16th, 2010, at 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.
