Services to honor her life will be at 10:00am Friday, July 22, 2016 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Dubach, LA, Hwy. 151 where she was baptized as a child and was a lifelong member. Bro. Connie Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at the Fellowship Cemetery where Maxine could trace her family back for 4 generations. Arrangements are under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville. Visitation will be 5-8pm Thursday at Farrar Funeral Home and Friday at Fellowship Church 9:00am until time of service. Maxine was born February 16, 1919 at home on her family's farm in Dubach, LA. She was welcomed into Heaven by her husband of 40 years, Harold H. Beckham, her mother, Mary Jane Davidson, her father, Samual Lane Davidson, sister, Allie Davidson Coots, brothers Horace and Liggin (Hoss) Davidson, her beloved son, Levy (tragically taken too soon at the early age of 24), infant granddaughter Mary Ann Beckham, and beloved son-in-law Dr. George Seiden who she considered a son. Left to cherish her memory and lots of wisdom are her six children: Madison Lane (Matt) Beckham & wife, Patricia (Pat), Rebecca Jane (Becky) Seiden, Hazel Lucille Robertson, Harold H. Beckham, Jr., Drucilla Nolan & husband Harry, George Terry Beckham & wife, Wanda. Maxine was blessed with 17 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by special friend and caregiver, John Trath. Maxine loved her large family and was happiest when they were all together with her, her many cats and dogs and her flower garden. It was said she could put a stick in the ground and it would grow. Her daylily bed was admired by all. Honoring Maxine as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Tim Beckham, Joseph Merritt, Jr., Stacy Beckham, John Levy Beckham, Cade Nolan, Micheal Nolan, Josh Beckham, and Jordan Harris. The world and family lost a unique grand ole lady. A long life well lived. Rest well, Mama, you deserve it.
