BECTON Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA Memorial Services for Mrs. Marjorie R. Becton, 92, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 8, 2008 at the Community Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Danny McIllveene officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Becton was born on January 16, 1916 and passed away at the Landmark Nursing Center on December 4, 2008. She was a member of the Community Baptist Church and also a life-member of the Annie D. Bennett #143 Order of the Eastern Star, where she was a past Worthy Matron. Mrs. Becton was a retired LPN. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting and gardening. She is preceded in death by husband, Earl Becton Jr.; son, Alfred Dee Becton; her parents; many brothers and sisters; two grand-children and three great grandchildren . Survivors include her son, John Becton and wife Angie; daughter, Janice Hough; eight grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time at Community Baptist Church on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home. The Family would like to give a very special thank you to the staff of Hospice Care of Louisiana and also to the staff of Landmark Nursing Center.
