"JIM" BELL Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home Ruston, LA Funeral Services for Mr. James E. "Jim" Bell, age 70 of Farmerville, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the Alabama Presbyterian Church in Choudrant with Rev. Dean Kelly officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Sibley Cemetery in Choudrant under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston. Mr. Bell was born August 18, 1938 in Centreville, TN and died September 17, 2008 in Monroe. He was a member of the Alabama Presbyterian Church. Mr. Bell was a proud veteran of the US Air Force. In his spare time, he collected arrowheads and other Native American artifacts, he enjoyed golfing, watching and feeding wildlife, tending his oak trees and pine trees, spending time with his family and living life. Mr. Bell is survived by his wife, Barbara Phillips Bell; daughters: Karen Otwell and husband Freck of Ruston and Chris Brown and husband Rick of Choudrant; grandchildren: Jamie Otwell Fredericks of Choudrant, Nicole Brown Trevino and husband Patrick of St. Roberts, MO, Brandi Brown of Choudrant, Jason McKee of Choudrant and Nathan Brown of Choudrant; brother Roger Dale Bell and wife Beth of Dyersburg, TN; sisters Jean Pitts and husband Charles of Tiptonville, TN, Barbara Kelly and husband Dean of Highland Home, AL and Faye Matlock of Hobart, IN; sisters-in-law Shirley Bell of Dyersburg, TN and Micki Bell of AL as well as many nieces and nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his son William "Rusty" Bell; grandson Cory Dale Otwell and two brothers. Mr. Bell's family would like to express their sincere thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at St. Francis Medical Center with special thanks to Dr. Kevin Wade, Dr. Barry Weinberger and Dr. Assad Mouhaffel. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, September 19, 2008 at Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Ruston.
