Barbara was born in Monroe, LA on April 16, 1936 and passed away in Columbus, Ohio on March 18, 2015 following an extended illness. She was a long time resident of Monroe but had recently moved to Columbus, Ohio to be with her son. Barbara graduated from Neville High School in 1954 where she was voted "The Wittiest" of the senior class. She attended Northeast Louisiana State College, now ULM, before beginning her long career in the medical field. She retired from the Urology Clinic in 2011 after 50 years of service working with Dr. Paul Tennis and Dr. Brad Johnson as their office nurse. Barbara will be remembered by her family and friends for her generosity, spunky personality, quirky sense of humor, loyal friend, devotion to her chosen profession and as a perfectionist. She possessed a green thumb and was never happier than when she decorated her home and patio each spring with plants and beautiful flowers. She was an avid collector and delighted in collecting everything from beanie babies to blue and white china. She was predeceased by her parents Fred and Ann Stoler of Monroe. She is survived by her son, Kent Michael Bell of Columbus, Ohio and daughter, Becky Bell Foster of Little Rock, AR., three grandchildren, Ryan Foster, Bridgette Foster and Morgan Foster. She also leaves behind five great-grandchildren.
