BENNETT Kilpatrick Funeral Home Famerville, LA. Ralph Jefferson Bennett, a farmer and cattleman, of Spearsville, LA, departed from this life on December 16, 2004, in Monroe, LA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, De cember 18, 2004, at 10:00 AM, at Antioch Church of Christ, in Spearsville, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home with Virgil Scott and Tommy Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in church cemetery. Mr. Bennett was born on June 4, 1924, in a logging camp near Lockhart, LA, to the union of Thomas Jefferson and Anna Belle Risinger Bennett. He was a lifelong member of Antioch Church of Christ, having served as a deacon and church treas urer for many years. A World War II veteran, he received the Purple Heart and three battle stars and a bronze star. He was preceded in death by his parents : a brother, Coy Bennett; a sister, Ruthelle Jerry Davidson; and an infant son, Bruce Bennett; an infant daugh ter, Henrietta Bennett; and an infant greatgranddaughter, Destiny Millien. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bobbie Rhodes Bennett; two daughters: Claire Post and husband Randy of Spearsville and Angela Futch and husband Tommy of Farmerville, LA; five grandchildren: Ashley Post Millien, Miranda Post Johnson, Justin Post, Garrett Futch, and Noelle Futch; and six greatgrandchildren: Chase Millien, Caleb Millien, Ethan Johnson, Clay Millien, Ruth Johnson, and Layla Millien; three brothers: J. D. Bennett and wife Ima Jean; Billy Bennett and wife Frances; and Frankie Bennett and wife Erma, all of Spearsville; one sister, Floy Wade of Farmerville; special brotherinlaw Clyde Barron and wife Lynette of Spearsville; and numerous nieces, neph ews, and friends. The pallbearers will be Thomas Wade, Van Bennett, David Bennett, Paul Bennett, Ted Nichols, Mark Deason, Joe Barrron, and Mike Kerr. Honorary pallbearers will be Clyde Barron, Ronnie Lane Elkins, Melvin Stone, Rodney Smith, and Kent Bennett.
