Mulhearn Funeral Home

West Monroe, LA

Funeral services for Mr. John T. (J.T.) Bennett, 89, of Monroe will be held at 
10:00 AM Thursday, June 25, 2009 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home with 
Dr. John Traylor, Dr. Alan Miller, and Rev. Kevin Bates officiating. Interment 
will follow at Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens Cemetery under the direction of 
Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Mr. Bennett retired as a Construction Superintendant for International Paper. 
He was a 33rd degree Mason and Scottish Rite El Kar Ubah. J.T. served his 
country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of First Baptist 
Church of Monroe but had served as a deacon in many churches throughout his 
life.

He is survived by his daughter, Lana Bennett and husband Scotty; son, Ronnie 
Bennett and fiancé Louise Haskins; grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Guillot and 
husband Harvey, Tammy Johnson and husband Jeff, Garland Thomas Shipp, Tiffany 
Ruth Shipp, Leslie K. Rose, and Ronald Bennett, Jr.; seven great 
grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Mike Calloway, Andy McBroom, Timmy McBroom, James Vickers, 
Harvey Guillot, and Leeman Stamper.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Mulhearn Funeral 
Home, West Monroe.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
