FREDERICK HAROLD BERRY

Frederick Harold Berry, 92, died April 16, 2014 in his Menomonee Falls, 
Wisconsin home surrounded by family. A native of West Monroe, Louisiana, Fred 
was born on October 29, 1921 to Annabelle and Frederick J. Berry. He graduated 
from Ouachita Parish High School in 1941 before entering the United States 
Army in 1942 for which he served in the South Pacific during World War II. 
After an honorable discharge in 1946, Fred pursued a career in the oil, gas, 
and aerospace industry. During his retirement he stayed involved in his 
community as a Master Mason at West Monroe Masonic Lodge No. 419 and as a 
member of the Bossier City Lions Club. He also took great pride in his work to 
support Louisiana Camp Victory, a camp for children with disabilities.

Aside from his charitable work, Fred was also quite the charmer and proudly 
wore the title of a true southern gentleman. Later in life Fred received his 
master gardeners license and thoroughly enjoyed working in his garden and 
occasionally riding his beloved Cub Cadet to Wal-Mart for groceries. He was a 
talented lecturer and his grandchildren will always remember to enjoy a bowl 
of homemade ice cream when discussing the importance of not eating between 
meals. Also a talented chef, Fred loved preparing fried catfish, oven-toasted 
Reubens, and homemade bread for anyone with an appetite.

He was preceded in death by his sweetheart of 51 years, Dr. Bobbie June 
Clayton Berry in 2005, and sister, Marteal Webb and brother Trell Berry, Sr.

Fred is survived by one daughter Charlotte Anne Berry Naff and husband Edward 
A Naff, of Dubach, Louisiana and two sons Gary Rodney Berry and wife Sue, of 
Benton, Arkansas and Frederick Clayton Berry and wife Carol of Milwaukee, 
Wisconsin, seven grandchildren Kimberly Paubert of Tennessee, Milly McIntyre 
of Louisiana, Ammy Naff of California, Joey Naff of Louisiana, Allison Berry 
of New York, Kathleen Berry of Indiana, and Frederick S. Berry of Indiana. 
Also, Fred had eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Service will be on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Ralph Buckner 
Funeral Home in Cleveland Tennessee. Pall bearers are Edward Naff, Frederick 
S. Berry, Brian Herber, Matthew Clayton, Mikel Harris, and Clayton Harris.
