BERRY Funeral Services for William D. "Buddy" Berry, 85, of West Monroe, LA will be held 2:00 P.M., Sunday, August 3, 2014 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. James Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in Hasley Cemetery, West Monroe. Mr. Berry was born January 29, 1929 in Monroe, LA and passed away July 30, 2014 in Shreveport, LA. He was a member of McClendon Baptist Church, was retired from Monroe Welding after 45 years, and was a founding member of the West Monroe Police Reserves. Buddy was a huge West Monroe Rebel Football fan and was very active in West Monroe Dixie Youth Baseball. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Berry is preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Lynn Berry; and brother, Kenneth Berry. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Violet R. Berry; sons, Gene Berry and wife, Margaret, Keith Berry and Bill Berry; brothers, Ned Berry and Joe Berry; sister, Louise Hennen; grandchildren, Nic Berry, Seth Berry and Courtney Berry; great granddaughter, Collins Grace Berry; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Richard Rogers, Jerry Hennen, Tim Brown, Nic Berry, Seth Berry and Richard McMillan. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Brian-Autrey Sunday School Class. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until Service Time on Sunday. Memorials may be made to the McClendon Baptist Church Children's Program.
