Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery in Bastrop, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Boddie was born September 21, 1920 in Fisher, LA and passed away December 24, 2008 in West Monroe, LA. She was a retired Registered Nurse with the Public Health Unit in Morehouse Parish, an avid bridge player, a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Bastrop, LA and the Business Professional Women's Club. After moving to West Monroe in 1999 she attended McGuire Methodist Church in West Monroe, LA and continued to be very active with Civic and Charitable organizations. She is preceded in death by her husband; James H. Boddie, Sr., grandson; Charles K. Boddie, II and three sisters. She is survived by sons; Judge James H. Boddie, Jr. and wife Julia of Ruston, LA, Charles Kent Boddie, grandson; William Grimes and wife Robin, granddaughter; Jessica Boddie, great granddaughter; Madelyn Grimes. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jim Sutterfield, Marcus Bailey, Charles Heard, John Heard, Eric Person, Scott Kelley, William Grimes, Steve Owens. Visitation will be Friday, December 26, 2008 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and Saturday, December 27, 2008 after 12:00 until service time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
