Rev. Eugene Brown will be officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 12:30 PM until service time. Mary was born June 25, 1932 and passed away October 6, 2017. Mary Lou Gates and Cecil Joe Bollier were married for 68 years on September 1st. Mary Lou was a strong force in the Bollier household, and she had personal strength as well. Mary had a beautiful voice, and often sang the song "Matthew 24" in church accompanied by Cecil on guitar. She was an exceptional seamstress and her favorite pastimes were cooking, cultivating her garden and flowers, and traveling to visit her children who lived away. She raised five children on a shoestring and a prayer. All her children learned respect and how to work, each aspiring to succeed in whatever they endeavored. She was preceded in death by her parents Ervin and Mary Gates; granddaughter Tammy Lynn Bollier; and several brothers and sisters. Mary was well loved and will be eternally missed by those who loved her. She is survived by her husband, Cecil; five children, Diana Mathews, Brenda Burton, Joey Bollier and wife Charlene, Jimmy Bollier and wife Cheryl Sue, Tania Hilburn and husband Greg; nine grandchildren, William Burton Jr. Brandy Roane, Hillary Savage, Renee' Mathews, Kim Burton, Robert Mathews, Cassandra Collins, Shyla and Shyenne Hilburn; nine great-grandchildren, Joshua Mathews, Kurtis and Zachary Burton, Greiye Burton, Sienna Puglia, Hazel Robbins, Joshua Roane, Taylor and Tyler Collins; one great-great grandson, Ashton Perkins; sister Shirley Moncrief; and brother James Gates.
