HAZEL BROOKS BOLTON

Funeral services for Hazel Brooks Bolton, 96, of Alexandria, will be held at 
2:00 PM Saturday, December 6, 2014 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Jena with 
Rev. Jimmy Prickett officiating. Interment will follow in the Columbia Cemetery 
in Columbia, La. The family asks that visitation be observed on Friday, 
December 5, from 4 until 9pm and from 8am until time for services Saturday 
December 6, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bolton was born May 21, 1918 in Wellington, Texas and passed from this 
life on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at her residence in Alexandria. She was a 
member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Pineville. She was a elementary school 
teacher in Caldwell and Catahoula Parish and taught kindergarten and elementary 
class in LaSalle Parish.

Those left to cherish her memory are, daughters, Joan and Randy Bynum of 
Guntersville, Alabama and Peggy and John Atwell of Alexandria; son, Jimmie 
Brooks Bolton and wife Rita of Montgomery, Texas; 12 grandchildren, 24 great 
grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by, her first husband, Rev. Jimmie Brady Bolton and 
second husband, Charles Hutchins; sons, John David Bolton and Billy Carroll 
Bolton; parents, Calvin Gentry and Maggie Knorzer Brooks; sisters, Armilda 
Elston, Louise Tugwell and Mae Hutchins; grandson, Jay Brady Bolton; great 
grandsons, Chandler McCormick and Joshua Conrad.

Pallbearers will be, Colt Deville, Shaun Deville, Jeff Bolton, Billy Bolton, 
II, Chris Atwell, Jamie Bignar, Micheal Perkins and Robert Conrad.

Honorary pallbearer will be Billy Bolton.

Memorials may be made to the Baptist Convention Corp. Program.
