J.R BOND


J.R. Bond, 72, Born Feb. 3, 1943 Dumas, Tx, Died June 10, 2015 West Monroe, LA.

J.R. is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cynthia G. Bond, two daughters, Cyndi 
B. Funderburg and Cathy J. Bond, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

J.R. is preceded in death by his parents, R.W. and Margie Bond, grandsons Joey 
Murdock and Bryan Hank.

J.R. was raised in Swartz, LA from 1956. He grew up and married the girl next 
door, Cynthia Jane Glass in Oct. 1961. He served in the US Army from 1960-1965 
when he was honorably discharged and returned to the Monroe area to raise a 
family. He retired from Riverwood Paper Company in January 2008 after 42 years 
of service in the maintenance crew.

A memorial service is planned for 2:00 PM June 20, 2015 at the Steelworkers 
Union Hall, 611 Montgomery Avenue, West Monroe LA.
