Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM prior to the service. Louise was born March 1, 1922 in Dubach, LA and passed away peacefully in Monroe, LA on May 25, 2016. She graduated from Dubach High School and was crowned Miss Dubach when 15 years old. She was a contestant in the Miss Louisiana Pageant when she was 16 years old. After high school she attended and graduated from LA Polytechnic Institute in 1943 in Home Economics. While at Tech, she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, Blue Jackets, and a Maid of the Homecoming Court for 2 years. In recognition of Sixty Years of loyal membership of Kappa Delta her name was inscribed in The Emerald Circle in 2001. She was a homemaker and a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her love of family and her passion for genealogy led to her membership in numerous historical societies including the Fort Miro Chapter, Daughters of the Revolution, National Society of Colonial Dames XVII Century, National Society Southern Dames of America, National Society of Magna Charta Dames, Huguenot Society of America, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Daughter of American Colonists and others. She served as an officer in many of these organizations on local, state, and national levels. She was a member of the Dubach United Methodist Church in Dubach and First United Methodist Church in Monroe. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband Paul J Bonin; parents, Lula Robinson Henry and Reginald Thomas Henry; and siblings, Thomas Reginald Henry, and James Robert Henry. She is survived by her sons, Paul James Bonin and wife Merry Ann of Monroe, Dick Randel Bonin and wife Earlene of Ballwin, MO, Henry Keith Bonin and wife Brenda of Monroe; daughter, Anita Louise Walpole and husband Neal of Ruston; grandchildren, Brad Bonin and wife Kelly, Traci Wade and husband Johnny, David Bonin, Tabitha Laser and husband Damon, Dick Bonin, Jr. and wife Katie, Earl Bonin and wife Betsy, Jon Paul Bonin and wife Beth, Henry Bonin and wife Beth, Amy Christ and husband Justin, Becky Flemister and husband Tyler, Amanda DeMoss and husband Todd, Danny Walpole and wife Megan, and Brandon Walpole; and 18 great-grandchildren and by her beloved Little Bit. The family would like to thank her doctors, Dr. Michael Sampanaro, Dr. Frank Weinholt, the doctors and staff at St. Francis Hospital, Americare of Monroe and the staff of Savannah Grand of West Monroe, for all the love and care they provided.
