RAY BONNER

Funeral services for Mr. Ray Bonner, of Monroe, LA., will be held 11:00 a.m. 
Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop with 
Rev. David Willoughby officiating. Interment will follow at the Beulah 
Cemetery, Fiske Union Community, under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 1st, from 5:00 p.m. until 
7:00 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home, Bastrop.

Charles Ray Bonner was born May 14, 1936 in Oak Grove, LA. to the late 
Grover Woodrow Bonner and Emma Chelette Bonner. He passed away February 26, 
2017 in West Monroe, LA. Mr. Bonner is preceded in death by his parents and 
two brothers, Kenneth Eldon Joles and Jerry Bonner.

Ray was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Monroe and a retired manager 
with Roger-Pinton Firestone. He was an active member of Masonic Lodge Robert 
Cretney #420 and the Monroe Scottish Rite Bodies. A loving and devoted 
husband, father, and grandfather he will be missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Bonner is survived by his wife of sixty years, Ann Bonner of Monroe, LA; 
his son, Rocky Bonner (Jeanette) of Bastrop, LA; sister, Helen Marie Brown 
of Oak Grove, LA; brother, Don Bonner of Bastrop, LA. He is also survived by 
four grandchildren, Belinda Moore (Al), Melisa Riley (Jerry Bonner), Douglas 
Pruitt, Shannon Polheimus (Ron); and seven great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are Jay Holton, Eric Holton, Bruce Bonner, Barry 
Bonner, Ricky Joles, and Nathaniel Willoughby.
