Graveside services for Mr. Joseph Robert Booles, age 87, of Ruston will be 
held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Greenwood Cemetery under the 
direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Officiating the service will 
be Rev. Rolly Walker.

Mr. Booles was born September 15, 1921 and passed away December 4, 2008 after 
a brief illness. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Erie 
Booles; two sisters: Velma Gray and Frances Matthews; one brother: Carlton 
Booles; and one granddaughter: Amy Leigh Myers.

Mr. Booles was a native of Bernice and lived in Ruston where he had retired as 
an instrument technician from Louisiana Tech, School of Engineering. He was a 
Veteran of World War II, Army Air Force, a member of the American Legion, Sons 
of Confederate Veterans, Ruston Lodge #106 F &AM, past master of Bernice Lodge 
#239, charter member of Barak Shrine Temple, Monroe. He was also a member of 
the Sons of the American Revolution, a charter member of the NE Louisiana 
Chapter of SAR, and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Smith Booles, daughter and son-in-law: 
Cheryl Booles Myers and Dave Myers of Ruston; granddaughter: Jennifer Myers 
Yates and husband Troy of Katy, TX; nieces and Nephews: Carlynne Boyer, Anita 
Binns, and Harold Booles all of AR, Jerry Mathews of Farmerville, and Edith 
Ann Adkins of Bernice.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M to 7:00 P.M. Friday, December 5, 2008 at 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston,LA.
