Boothe, 90, of Harrisonburg, LA. will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday April 21, 2014 at Myers Bend Pentecostal Church, Harrisonburg, LA. Interment will follow in the Joe Boothe Cemetery in Harrisonburg, LA visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00 PM April 20, 2014 at Myers Bend Pentecostal Church. Services will be under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro, LA with Rev. Tommy Cotten, Jr., Rev. Bill Cotten, and Rev. Chad Franklin officiating. Mrs. Boothe, Homemaker, was born Feb. 28, 1924 in Harrisonburg, LA. and passed away April 17, 2014 in Vidalia, LA. Mrs. Boothe is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Valentine "Jeff" Boothe; her parents, Allen Butler Cotten and Maude Mae Frith Cotten; daughter Sharlene Boothe Ferguson; son, Lloyd Dane Boothe, sisters Addie B. Refrow, Mary Boothe and Tommie Jean Franks; brothers, Tommy B Cotten, Sr., Leamon Cotten and Darwin Cotten. Lois is survived by daughters, Jeffie Lane Boothe of Flagstaff, Arizona, Ramona Gay Koch and husband Jerry of Monterey, Louisiana, and Lana June Hom and husband Tony of Las Crusces, New Mexico; sons, Teddy Valentine Boothe and wife Gratchel of Winnsboro, Louisiana, and Garry Jeff Boothe and wife Shannon of Harrisonburg, Louisiana; brothers, Rev. Bill Cotten and wife Maude Ella of Sicily Island, Louisiana, Jesse H. Cotten and wife Ella Mae of Columbia Louisiana, Bobby Glenn Cotten and wife Irene of Harrisonburg, Louisiana; sisters, Elizabeth C. Boothe of Camden, Tennessee, Billie Nell Nobles and husband Houston of Harrisonburg, Louisiana, 35 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 51 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Grandsons, Anthony Hom, Chris Hom, Vestal Ferguson, Jr., Joel Ferguson, Andy Boothe, Alex Boothe, James Koch, and Shane Boothe. Honorary Pallbearers are Jerry Koch, Tony Hom, and Vestal Ferguson Sr. Lois was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was blessed with a witty and wonderful sense of humor and was a wonderful cook. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
