BETTYE JO BOYD

Funeral services for Bettye Jo Boyd, 79, of Downsville, will be held at 10:00 
a.m. Friday, June 27, 2014 at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church near Downsville with 
Bro. Kurt Auger & Howard Boyd officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Ararat 
Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mrs. Boyd passed away June 25, 2014. She was retired from the Farmerville Police 
Department. She was an active member of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, a great lover 
of her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a devoted, 
compassionate friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Boyd and parents, Bob & Willie 
Bell Owens.

Left to cherish her memory are her 2 sons: Danny Boyd & wife, Sherry of 
Downsville and Marty Boyd & wife, Sissy of Downsville; 1 daughter, Robbie Boyd 
of West Monroe; 1 sister, Bobbie Jean Cox & husband, Bo of Downsville; 3 
grandchildren: Beth Zachry & husband, Erik of Downsville, Ginger Barkley & 
husband, Brad of Downsville and Dan Boyd of Ruston; 4 great grandchildren: 
Alyssa Zachry, Abbie Barkley, Aubrey Zachry and Faith Barkley; special family 
friend, Fay Hamm and a host of other loving friends and relatives.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Farrar Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Bobby King, Jonathan King, Brad Barkley, Erik Zachry, Scott 
Owens and Dan Boyd
