Paul Carter and Bro. Larry Eubanks officiating. Interment will be at Rocky Branch Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home. Elvin, a United States Army Veteran and heavy machinery operator, was born December 27, 1930, in Holum, Louisiana and passed away July 17 at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Home in Monroe. He served his country in the Korean Conflict, being honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant First Class. Elvin enjoyed fishing at the family pond, working with his tractor and loved animals of all kinds. He is preceded in death by his father, Vernie Edward Braddock; mother, Viola Fisher Braddock Barnett and husband, Arvad; his twin brother, Melvin Braddock; and a baby brother. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mildred Braddock; children, Linda McKinley and husband, Dale; Gary Braddock and wife, Carolyn; Donna Crocker and husband, Tracy; stepchildren, Eddie Price and wife, Keri; Timothy Price; and Kim Blackman and husband, Keith; grandchildren, Carl McKinley; Kevin McKinley; Roy Dale McKinley and wife, Jessica; Jeremy Kent and wife, Samantha; Krystal Williams and husband, Casey; Sonya Murphy; Casey Gordon and husband, Kenny; Jesse Price and wife, Emily; Leslie Plauche and husband, Cory; Halie Keiffer, Jared Blackman; Austin Blackman; Timothy Price, Jr.; Bobby Price; and Robert Price; 8 great grandchildren; brothers, Dewey Braddock and wife, Pauline; and Rueben Braddock and wife, Joyce; sisters-in-law, Kay Telano and Grace Braddock; and numerous other family and friends, as well as his loving canine companions, Ruger and Daisy. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Visitation is Monday from 5:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. The family would like to give special thanks to Twila, Tammy, Kenny, JoAnn and the other special caregivers at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Home for all of the care and special attention they gave Elvin.
