Reverend Carl Gulde will officiate. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove. Mr. Bradley died Thursday, March 5, 2009 at his residence. Jimmy was a native and lifelong resident of Oak Grove where he served at the First Baptist Church, Beulah Baptist Church, and Immanuel Christian Fellowship. Jimmy was a graduate of Oak Grove High School and a big fan of Oak Grove athletics. He wrote weekly articles for the West Carroll Gazette "Following The Tigers". He attended Northwestern Louisiana University where he played football and later attended Northeast Louisiana University. He was employed as Customer Service Manager of Ruffin Building Systems for 35 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Clifton Bradley and Ida Lavelle Watts Bradley; sisters, Doris Bassett and Margaret Jean McFarlin; brothers-in- law, Sartis Bassett, Sammy Jacobs, and Ben McFarlin. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Bradley of Oak Grove; son and daughter-in- law, Rodney Lowery and Gwen Gunter of Oak Grove; son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Emily Bradley of Oak Grove; daughter and son-in-law, Kandace and Mike Mote of Oak Grove; daughter and son-in-law, Courtney and Roger Bolding of Oak Grove; brother and sister-in-law, Willis and Norma Bradley of Strong, Arkansas; sister, Betty Jo Jacobs of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Whitey Davis of Oak Grove; Brother-in-law, Johnny Johnson of Oak Grove and 9 grandchildren. Pallbearers are nephews. Family will receive friends between the hours of 5 to 8PM at Cox Funeral Home in Oak Grove. Memorials may be made to the Jimmy Bradley Memorial Athletic Fund for West Carroll Parish Schools, 6914 Highway 2, Oak Grove, LA 71263.
