DOROTHY BEARDEN BRANTLEY

Funeral services for Dorothy Bearden Brantley, 94, will be held at 3:00pm 
Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church in Downsville with 
Brothers Greg Clark and David Moreland officiating. Burial will be in Mt. 
Ararat Cemetery in Downsville, LA under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brantley, a homemaker, went to her heavenly home January 31, 2015. She was 
a lifelong resident of Union Parish and a member of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church. 
She was a gift from God and cared for and loved all her family. Mrs. Brantley 
enjoyed cooking, canning and working in her garden.

Mrs. Brantley was preceded in death by her parents, Doc & Ora Calk Bearden; 5 
brothers and 3 sisters.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, W.L. Brantley & wife Ruth of Downsville; 
4 daughters, Eloyce Aulds & husband Billy Joe of Downsville, Phyllis Edney & 
husband Keith of West Monroe, Arlene Nunn & husband Gary of Downsville & Becky 
Martin & husband Steve of West Monroe; 1 sister, Eula Mae Smith of Georgia; 23 
Grandchildren, 39 Great Grandchildren & 15 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Larry Brantley, Barry Brantley, Joshua Nunn, Jeremy Martin, 
Daniel Parker & Richard Bowden.

Honorary Pallbearers will be her Grandsons and Great Grandsons.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 1, 2015 at 1:30 til time of service at the 
Church.
