IDA LEE WHITE BRASHER

Ida Lee Brasher, 92, of Farmerville, Louisiana, went to be with the Lord on 
June 21, 2015 after a brief illness at Glenwood Regional Medical Center. Born 
November 25, 1922 in Strong, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Robert 
Lee White and Mittie Burson White. She married the late James Coy Brasher and 
during their 50 years of marriage lived in Truxno, El Dorado, Shreveport, and 
then made Farmerville their home in 1952. She was a member of Conway Baptist 
Church. A talented seamstress and quilter, she also enjoyed her flower gardens, 
reading, and cooking for family gatherings. Ida Lee was a devoted, loving, 
kind, gentle, and generous wife and mother of four children.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons, Atly Brasher and Yancy 
Brasher; son-in-law, Bob Hajec, and brother, J.M. White.

Ida Lee is survived by her daughters, Judy Brasher Riser and her husband Bob 
Tom Riser of Downsville, Sherry Brasher Hajec of Aiken, South Carolina, and 
daughters-in-law, Karen Fisher Brasher of Cox's Creek, Kentucky, and Colleen 
Brasher of West Monroe. She is also survived by grandchildren Seth Riser and 
his wife Julie, Adam Riser and his wife Shay, Jared Riser, all of Downsville, 
Courtney Brasher of West Monroe, Caleb Brasher and his wife Lia of Windermere, 
Florida, Allison Hajec of Charleston, South Carolina, and Brandon Hajec of 
Aiken, South Carolina. Her great-grandchildren are Abram, Austin, Savannah, 
Carson, Shelby, Sunni, and Charlie Riser all of Downsville.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel 
from 5:00-7:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 
11:00am at Conway Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Whitman and Rev. Paul Carter 
officiating. Burial will follow in Conway Baptist Cemetery under the direction 
of Farrar Funeral Home.

Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers are Caleb Brasher, Brandon Hajec, Don 
McClanahan, Adam Riser, Ben Joe Riser, Jared Riser, Seth Riser, Bruce Traylor, 
Robert White and David Yarbrough.

Memorials may be made to Conway Baptist Church, 4323 Hwy 549, Marion, LA 71260.
