JIMMIE CORNELL BRASHER

Graveside Services for Jimmie Cornell Brasher, 91, of West Monroe, LA will be 
held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 18, 2015 at the Mulhearn Memorial Park 
Mausoleum Chapel in Monroe, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home 
West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Brasher was born in Marion, LA on June 7, 1924 and passed away on December 
13, 2015 at his residence in West Monroe, LA. He was raised in Farmerville, LA 
and joined the United States Army in 1943, where he served in the 65th Signal 
Battalion serving in the European Theater. He was awarded the Bronze Star for 
his service. After returning home he received his BA Degree in Economics from 
Louisiana Polytechnic Institute in 1948. After graduation he started working 
for the Sears Company in their Credit Department working in various places 
throughout Texas. He was then transferred to the Corporate Credit Headquarters 
in Chicago, IL and became Midwestern Territorial Credit Manager retiring in 
1986 and returned to Louisiana. He was a devoted husband, loving father and 
grandfather.

Mr. Brasher is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Dorothy H. Brasher; 
parents, Ella Carine and Jim Clyde Brasher; brothers, Mitchell and Robert 
Brasher; and sister, Alice Simpson.

Survivors include daughter, Joy Felder; granddaughter, Tyler Felder; sister, 
Lou Nell Taylor and numerous other relatives and friends.
