CALVIN E. BRASWELL

Funeral services for Mr. Calvin E. Braswell of West Monroe, LA will be 3:00pm 
Saturday, July 23, 2016 at The Assembly on Cypress St., West Monroe, LA with 
Pastor Butch Pilcher officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park 
Cemetery in Bastrop, LA under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West 
Monroe.

Our beloved Calvin E. Braswell was born April 8, 1940 in Oak Grove, LA and went 
home to be with our Lord on July 20, 2016 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 76. 
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle brother 
and friend.

Calvin went home to be with his daughter, Christian Braswell; brother, Bill 
Braswell; granddaughter, Andy; father, Calvin Braswell; mother, Pearlee 
Braswell; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Isabell McKenzie; and son-
in-law, (son) Ernesto Leija.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Braswell; sons, Bennie Braswell and wife 
Patty, Ray Braswell and wife Datra, Calvin Braswell, Jr.; daughters, Teresa 
Bagwell, Carolyn Hunt, Melba Sykes and husband Mike; sisters, Frances Braswell, 
Martha Clingen Stringer and husband Dennis, Mary Wade and husband Bobby, Bobbie 
Allen, Lecy McKenzie; son, Morris, Paul and Nancy McKenzie; also survived by 
sixteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, 
nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Pablo Lofton, Thomas Grissom, Jon Johnson, John Grissom, 
Oakland McKay and Rodney Pardue.
