Interment will follow at St. Matthew Catholic Church Cemetery. Anne was born on October 1, 1924 in Leicester, England and passed away after a brief illness on January 21, 2015 at her home in Monroe. She met her future husband, Reneau Griffing Breard while he was stationed in Leicester, England during WWII. They were married on July 19, 1945 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Leicester, England, and soon after, Anne came to the United States on the Queen Mary, which was commandeered for the WWII brides. Anne and Reneau celebrated their sixty-ninth wedding anniversary last year. Despite being a U.S. citizen, Anne remained loyal to the Queen and her home country. Every July 4, she insisted on displaying the Union Jack along with the U.S. flag. Anne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved traveling, playing bridge, gardening, and riding on her pontoon boat on the bayou. Anne was a founding member of the La Petite Maison Garden Club, and she attended Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Anne is preceded in death by her parents, Ellen and Albert E. Goodman; sister, Nancy; and brothers, Ken Goodman and Jack Goodman. She is survived by her husband, Reneau G. Breard; daughter, Renee Wright; son, Daniel A. Breard and wife Judy; son, Ken Breard and wife Susan; niece, Marea Goodman of Keswick, England; grandchildren, Daniel A. Breard Jr. and wife Miranda; Mamie Breard, Christopher Breard and wife Meg; Griffing Breard and fiancé Paige Hungerford; great-grandchildren, Mary Kathryn Breard, George Daniel Breard, Caroline Breard, and Cate Breard; and beloved grand-dog, Did-he-bite-ya. Also, Anne is survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Edith Hayes and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Thomas Hayes III, Bill McCampbell, Daniel Breard Jr., Christopher Breard, Griffing Breard, and Jack Breard. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a church or charity of your choice . Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 24, 2015 until time of service at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe.
