Todd was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on September 2, 1964, and passed away on May 24, 2016, in Monroe, Louisiana with family by his side. Todd graduated from Winnsboro High School in 1982 and was one of the first graduates of the Equine Science Program at Louisiana Tech University in 1987 and was a member of Kappa Alpha Order. Todd interned under Hall of Fame thoroughbred trainer Jack VanBerg in California and had a love of horse racing. Todd returned to Louisiana in 1992 and began working as a rice farmer for Woodsland Plantation and eventually became a partner. After retiring from farming in 2007, he began his final career as a probation and parole officer for the State of Louisiana. Todd was an avid outdoorsman and conservationist. Todd was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Doyle Bridges and is survived by his maternal grandmother, Hazel Norrid Fletcher; mother, Millicent Fletcher Bridges of Monroe, LA; twin sons, Cody Tyler Bridges and Zachary Allen Bridges of West Monroe, LA and their mother, Tammie; brother, Richard Alan "Ricky" Bridges; sister-in-law, Mary Sheva Bridges; and nephews, Micah Fletcher Bridges, Hahn Alan Bridges, and Kenneth Talangchey "Chey" Bridges of Fairbanks, LA. Todd is also survived by aunts, Carol Payzant and husband Bill, Kaye Dalton, Doris Bridges, Joyce Bridges, Nell Calhoun and Uncle Richard Fletcher. The Bridges family wishes to thank the staffs of the neuro-oncology department of MD Anderson Hospital, Premier Hospice and the Pilots for Patients Organization. A special thanks to the dedicated officers of the Louisiana Department of Probation and Parole for all of their love, support and generosity.
