KENNETH CLIFTON BRISTER


Funeral services for Kenneth Clifton "Pete" Brister, age 85, of Pioneer, LA 
will be 2PM, Sunday, March 17, 2013, at the Epps Baptist Church, Epps, LA with 
Rev. J.D. Favors, Rev. Lavon Ragland, and Rev. Herbert Whitten officiating. 
Interment will be in the Unity Cemetery near Pioneer. Services are under the 
directions of Cox Funeral Home.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis Ernest Brister and Addie Vencie 
Brister; three brothers, J.E. Brister, M.H. Brister, and Lavern Brister; 
sister, Lavon McGuffie.

 Pete is survived by his wife of 64 years, Elizabeth Osbon Brister of Pioneer, 
LA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Ralph Reeves of West Monroe, LA, 
Theresa and Dyar Eppinette of Bastrop, LA; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth S. 
and Sandy Brister of Pineville, La; 6 Grandchildren, Cory Reeves & wife Amy, 
Lindsay Stencel and husband Jon, Bart Thomas, Deuce Eppinette and fiance 
Colleen Watkins, Ashley Merrill and husband Jason, Bailie Brister; 6 great-
grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Lorena and Joe Savage; brother and 
sister-in-law, A.G. "Buck" and Bobbie Brister; three special sisters-in-law, 
Betty Ezell, Patsy Mitton, and Kay Osbon; special brother-in-law, Tommy Osbon; 
numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Don Gwin, David McVay, Mike Hall, Glen McCandlish, Doug Ed 
Fairchild, Mike Prine.

Honorary pallbearers are Inman Powell, Louie Cleveland, Mike southhall, Jerry 
J. Simms, Calvin Simms, Butch Jones.
