Marcelle Ronquille officiating. Interment will follow in Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens Cemetery, West Monroe. Mrs. Brister was born August 3, 1925 and passed away January 15, 2015. She was a bowler for 40+ years, secretary of the bowling league for 10 years and attended national tournaments all over the U.S. Lucille was a member of the Moose Lodge where she sold her famous brownies and worked concession every summer at the pool. She was an avid sports fan and followed St. Fredrick's Baseball and Football teams when her son Randy was a member of both teams. Lucille even coached basketball for St. Paschal's Catholic School. Preceding her in death was her husband of 66 years, Dan W. Brister, Jr.; sisters, Ruth Ratcliff, Lois Payne and Allie West; and son-in-law and friend, Len Accardo. Survivors include her children, Linda Gibson, Margaret Accardo, Danny Brister and wife Jeanette, Becky Medlin and husband Scooter, Randy Brister, and Rita Richardson and husband Raymond; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren and 2 on the way; sisters, Marie Clack and Marcy McCardle; and numerous nieces and nephews; Pallbearers will be Kirk Brister, Greg Accardo, Ryan Accardo, Nathan Medlin, Tim Gibson and Micheal Perdue. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jacob Brister and John Fontenot. The family would like to give special thanks to Ridgecrest Nursing Home for the love and care shown to Mrs. Brister during her 8½ year stay. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the charity of your choice .
