JIMEREE BROOKS

Funeral services for Jimeree Brooks, 91, of Monroe, will be held at 10:00 AM 
Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. William 
Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum 
under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mrs. Brooks was born November 17, 1920 in Winnsboro, LA and passed away 
Sunday, May 13, 2012, at Avalon Place. She was a member of Lakeshore Baptist 
Church and was extremely active in her church and community.

Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Leo Brooks; parents, 
James C. and Ceree Richardson Slaughter; and brother, E. D. "Bud" Slaughter.

Survivors include her daughter, Kay Carolyn Brooks; sons, Jim Thomas Brooks 
and wife Peggy, and Harry Stephen Brooks and wife Shirley; five grandchildren, 
six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, 
Sterlington Road, Monroe.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of Avalon Place and 
Hospice of Caring Hearts for their care of Mrs. Brooks.

Memorials may be made to Lakeshore Baptist Church.
