C.K BROOKS

C. K. Brooks, 92 of West Monroe, a minister, died Thursday. The funeral will 
be held at 2 p.m. today at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Ira 
Schillings and Howard Hudson officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 
service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Beulah Cemetery, Calhoun. 
Rev. Brooks was a native of Union Parish, having lived in West Monroe for the 
past 53 years where he had worked and retired from Olinkraft and served as a 
minister until death. Bro Brooks pastored Methodist churches in West 
Monroe,Bonita, Wilhite, Minden, and Haughton.

Survivors include his son: Cary Brooks and wife, Marie, of West Monroe; 
granddaughter: Patricia L. Brooks, of Springfield, MO; grandson: Bryan Brooks 
of West Monroe, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Pallbearers 
will be Ted Gates, Byron King, Arnold King, Dennis Kyle, Cordell King, and 
Jimmy Gibson. Any planned memorials may be made to the Rev. C. K. Brooks 
Memorial Scholarship Fund: c/o L. V. Frith, 198 Lapine Road, West Monroe, LA.
