BRENDA D. BROOKS

Services celebrating the life of Mrs. Benda Deas Brooks, 78, of West Monroe, LA 
will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday January 5, 2014 in the chapel of Mulhearn 
Funeral Home in West Monroe with Rev. Jon Tellifero officiating. Interment will 
be in Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Brooks died January 3, 2014 at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Brooks was a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA. 
She enjoyed memberships in Home Demonstration Club, Cattlemen's Association Cow 
Bells, Glenwood Ladies Auxiliary and was an original member of the Woodlawn 
Riding Club.

Survivors: husband of 61 years, Mr. Ben C. Brooks; Sons, John Kenneth Brooks 
and wife, Linda, Mark Steven Brooks and wife, Jamie: Daughter, Bonnie Brooks 
McCartney; Grandsons, Benjamin Carter Brooks and wife, Meredith, John Brandon 
Brooks, J. Tyler Brooks, Dustin Cleveland Brooks; Great Granddaughters, Avarie 
Elyse Brooks and Isabella Grace Brooks

Pallbearers will be Benjamin Brooks, Tyler Brooks, Brandon Brooks, Dustin 
Brooks, Randy Lambert, Larry Rutledge, Bobby Lemoine, and David Pylant. 
Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Lambert, Troy Lynch, and Tommy Gist.

Visitation will be from 12:30 PM until service time Sunday at Mulhearn Funeral 
Home.

Memorials may be made to the West Ouachita Animal Shelter or the River Cities 
Humane Society for Cats.
