JANICE DIANE BROOM

Celebration of Life for Ms. Janice Diane Broom, 73, of West Monroe, LA, will be 
1:30 PM Monday, November 16, 2015, at Cheniere Lake Lodge, West Monroe with 
Rev. Butch Pilcher officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM 
until the time of the service.

Ms. Broom was born on April 1, 1942, in Ouachita Parish and passed from this 
life on November 13, 2015, in West Monroe surrounded by her family. She 
attended The Assembly in West Monroe. Ms. Broom enjoyed gardening, but most of 
all taking grandchildren on vacations. She is preceded in death by her mother, 
Ardella Platt; and brother, Scott Platt.

Survivors include children: Kelvin Broom and wife Dovieta, Lisa McPherson, 
Becky Broom and husband Will, Candy McAuliffe and husband Nick; eight 
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Sue Bamburg and husband 
Johnny; brother, Danny Platt; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and 
special friend, Hardy Broom.
