He was called to his heavenly home on May 30, 2012 following a short illness. Mr. Brown was retired but had a long and distinguished career in the paper converting business. His last employment in this industry was with The Newark Group where he was the General Manager of their plant in Monroe, Louisiana. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his father, Ken Brown, his mother, Dorothy Rhodes nee' Evans, a son-in-law, Don Tinsley and a son Shane Jason Brown. He is survived by his wife Rande Newsome Brown, daughters Terri Chancey and husband Charles of Tuscaloosa, AL., Kim Willingham and husband Pat of Orange Beach, AL., Lisa Tinsley of Tuscaloosa, AL., Shannon Edmonds and husband Lawson of Livingston AL. son Tony Brown and wife Susan of Northport., AL., step-sons John B Newsome of Gilmer, Texas and Charles Joe Zuber, Jr. of Houston, Texas and a step-daughter Cristen Janak and husband Damian of Santa Fe, Texas. He is also survived by grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Mr. Brown will be missed by all, especially his grandchildren who thought he was a wonderful "PawPaw". A private family memorial for Mr. Brown is planned. A date has not been set at this time. The family requests that if memorials are made it be to the American Cancer Society .
