DOTTIE STARLING BROWN

Farmerville, LA

Funeral services for Dottie Starling Brown, age 90, of Farmerville, LA will be 
held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 27, 2009, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel 
in Farmerville, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Kibbie Hatfield. Private burial 
will follow at McDaniel Cemetery in Kelly, LA. under the direction of 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA.

Dottie passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Union General Hospital in 
Farmerville, LA. Dottie was born to Lewis Lansing and Bertha McDaniel Starling 
on April 20, 1918. She graduated from LA.Tech University in Business in 1939. 
Dottie taught school at Baskin High School LA where she also developed a 
business department. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of 
Farmerville.

Dottie married Lee E. Brown in 1940.

She is survived by her husband Lee E. Brown, son, Edward Lansing Brown, 
daughter, Laura Kathleen McCrory. Granddaughters, Allison McCrory, Erin Evans, 
Emilee and Analise Brown, Great-granddaughters, Iris and Claire Hubbard, Great 
grandson, Johnathan Evans.

Visitation will be Monday, January 26, 2009 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to McDaniel Cemetery, to Carolyn 
McDougald, P.O. Box 45, Kelly, LA. 71441.
