Brown, of Rayville, LA will be held at 11:30 A.M., Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery US Hwy 425 in Rayville, LA with Rev. Whit Bass officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Rayville. W.T. was a graduate of Neville High School with being an All State Running Back in 1949 and 1950; High School All American 1950 and Most Valuable Player in the Shrimp Bowl in 1950. He was a United State Army Drill Sgt. Veteran that served one tour in Korea and two tours in Vietnam before retiring. He loved to fish and spending time with his dog, Honey. W.T. loved the Lord Jesus Christ and his family very much. He was deeply loved and respected by his friends and family. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Brown (born in Mound City, IL); mother, Ruth Elizabeth McPherson (born in Crowville, LA); brothers and sisters, Clyde Brown, Lawrence Brown, Charles Brown, Hugh Roy Brown, and Ruth Brown Bradshaw. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Brown; daughter, Mrs. Michelle Brown Bass and husband Whit Bass; granddaughters, Hannah Michelle Bass and husband Aaron, and Sophia David Bass; step-daughters, LaDawn Jones and husband Jimmy Jones, Kacee Jones, and Stacy Jones; sister, Elaine Brown Cockerham.
