To the late Robert and Farris Brown. On Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 10:00am he went to sleep on this side and woke up in paradise. Having been raised in a Christian home, he sought and accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Monroe, La. Robert was educated in the public school system of Ouachita Parish. He attended Grambling State University in Grambling, La. Robert was in the United States Army for 2 years and was employed by Olin Kraft in Monroe, La. He later moved to Dallas, TX. where he was employed by the United States Post Office where he retired. Robert was united in holy matrimony to Marion Mangham and to the late Ernestine Wright. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Farris C. Brown and his beloved sister, Faye Brown Blackwell. His memory shall never fade as they are forever embedded in the hearts of his devoted family, including sons, Thalamus Goins, Christopher Taylor, Justin Brown, Robert Brown III and Aaeneas Brown, brothers, Don Brown of Dallas, TX., Jackie L. Brown of Duncanville, TX., Harold G. Brown (Delores) of Duncanville, TX., Frankie C. Brown of Dallas, TX., Jerry Brown (Cathy) of Monroe, La., sisters, Roxie Smith (Ray) of Houston, TX., Brenda Brown-Ifabiyi of Dallas, TX., only remaining Aunt Derunzia Atkins of Monroe, La. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to mourn his departure and forever cherish his loving memory.
