J. Roddy Taylor officiating, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe. Mrs. Brown was born November 25th, 1925 in Orange, TX and she passed away on December 30th, 2009 in Monroe. She graduated from Orange High School and Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX. Mrs. Brown moved to Monroe in 1948. She was very active in the community, she was member of Junior Charity League, and she was charter member of Bayou Country Club, charter member of Town and Country Garden Club, board member of Masur Museum, Board of Directors at Glenwood Hospital and a charter member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Brown, in January, 1985. Survivors include her 4 children, Charles Brown, Jr., Carrie Lutcher Brown, Richard Eastin Brown and Robert Scott Brown; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. The family will receive guests from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday January 4, 2010 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home-Monroe. Memorials may be made to Louisiana Baptist Children's Home or American Heart Association.
