Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Bruce died on Monday, January 18th at Duke Medical Center in Durham, NC. Mrs. Bruce was preceded in death by her husband, Buford James (BJ) Bruce; her parents, Harry Minor & Ina Belle Davis; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Andrew Clemmons (Clem) and Ira Goshen Bruce; her sister and brother-in-law, Charles and Harry Belle Davis Turrentine; her niece, Barbara Jo Turrentine Varino; her nephew, Tommy Bruce and her great nephew, Craig Raymond Varino. Survivors include 2 children: Harry Andrew Bruce and Kerry Bruce King Tranum; 7 grandchildren: Andy King, Tiffany Tranum Essary, Gabe Tranum, Jacob Tranum, James King, Joseph Tranum, and Bailey Bruce; 10 great grandchildren: Olivia Essary, Ty Essary, Savannah Essary, Ruth Ann Essary, Annabella Tranum, Cass King, Rayne King, Ross Essary, Audrey Tranum & Abigail Tranum; 2 nieces, Janet Bruce Hult & Mary Beth Turrentine Dantzler; 4 great nephews Charlie Dantzler, Joe Hult, Wade Bruce & Steven Bruce; and 2 great nieces, Jill Hult and Julie Kelso. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Tranum, Jack Bass, Andy King, Jeremy Essary, Jacob Tranum, & Charlie Dantzler. Visitation will be prior to the service at 1:00pm at First United Methodist Church.
