Woods Watson officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe, LA. Judy was born May 5, 1943 in Houston, MS and passed away peacefully on November 18, 2024 with her youngest daughter, Vicki by her side. Judy graduated from Houston High School where she was proud to have been a majorette for the Hilltoppers. She later moved to Jackson, MS to attend business college. She walked alongside her husband, Tommy, for 51 years. Together they owned Brunt Tile and Marble Co. in Monroe, LA for 35 years, where she kept the books. Youngest daughter Vicki worked alongside her mom for 25 of those years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in West Monroe. She enjoyed working in her yard and attending ULM sporting events with Tommy. They were Booster Club members for over 35 years. She was notorious for having lots of pictures all over her house of memories made with loved ones. Judy and Tommy always supported their grandchildren by attending all their sports games and extracurricular activities. She loved to dance, but her love for Elvis was unwavering. Every year, they would go with many of their friends to Memphis for Elvis Week. Judy was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Friends and family knew her as always having a smile on her face, no matter the circumstances. She never met a stranger, as she approached life with a kind heart and a gentle spirit that touched everyone she met. She will be deeply missed, yet her wisdom and love will continue to bless all the lives she touched. Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Brunt; parents, David and Vera Kyle; brother, Wesley Kyle; granddaughter, Courtney Swann. Their memories were always held close to her heart throughout her life. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Vicki Swann and husband, Greg; Kathy Riggins and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Shelbi Williamson, KK Swann, Madison Porter, Ashlie Hennessy and husband, Wade; great grandchildren, Emersynn Hennessy and Hampton Hennessy; sister, Diane Patrick and husband, Pat; niece, Kristi Williams and husband, Josh. Pallbearers will be Eric Carter, Todd Martin, Jimmy Cloessner, David Whitlock, Buddy Embanato and Billy Evans. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. James G. Smith, Jr., Emma Loyless, FNP-C, APRN, Angela Bouwel, RN and Carlos Jenkins, RN at St. Francis Medical Center for their unwavering support and compassionate care during her final days.
