Paul Lipe officiating with services concluded by military honors. Visitation will be held at Cox Funeral Home in Delhi on Saturday from 5-7 PM Burial will be in the Delhi Masonic Cemetery. Mr. Bryan was born on August 3, 1923 in Rayville, LA to the union of George Lamar Bryan and Mamie Pearl Wood Bryan Higginbotham and went home to his heavenly reward on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the Richland Parish Hospital in Delhi, LA. He was an Army Air Force Veteran of World War II having flown 36 bombing missions over Germany the last being on Christmas Eve 1944. He was a retired Production Supervisor for Sun Oil Company of Delhi. He is preceded in death by his mother Mamie Pearl Bryan Higginbotham; two brothers William "Billy" Bryan and John C. "Penny" Bryan and a sister Martha "Mot" White. George is survived by a son Scott Bryan of St. Joseph, LA; two grandchildren Alexandra Scott Bryan and Nicholas Bennett Bryan both of The Woodlands, TX; a sister Mary "DeeDee" Thomas of Delhi, LA and numerous nieces and nephews, Bill Bryan Jr., Zoe Ann Pickett, Jim Thomas Jr., Mike Thomas, Bob Thomas, Linda White Carr, Sidney "Trip" White, Mary Lynn Bryan Bolton and Ben Bryan. Pallbearers will be Jim Thomas, Mike Thomas, Bob Thomas, Steven Carr, John Jones and Charles Beene. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ben Bryan, Benny Stansell, Sidney "Trip" White, John Thomas, James Thomas and Bill Bryan.
