Pat was born April 22, 1947 in San Angelo, Texas to Ben and Billie Bryan. The family moved from Texas and made their home in Crossroads, LA. Pat was a member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church. After graduating from Farmerville High School in 1965 and ULM in 1970, he pipelined and later worked for Reginald Smith Electrical and AC. He worked until his retirement from Union Parish School Board as Supervisor of Transportation and Maintenance after 25 plus years. Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Mike Bryan. Surviving him are his wife, Joan Harper Bryan, sons, Jay Bryan of Farmerville, and Jared Bryan of Spring, Texas, brother Daniel Bryan and wife Judy Bryan, sister, Ann Crowder, and a host of nieces and nephews. Among close friends, Pat was known as "Maytag" for always agitating and teasing. His favorite hobbies were antiquing, fishing, and Bar-B-Qing. A special thanks to all who cared for Pat during his extended illness - St. Josephs Hospice (Connie Lowery, Rebecca, Tabatha, Lashanda, Cleona, and Shannon Newton), Oncology Associates of Monroe, Dr. Scott Barron, and extended family and friends. Serving as pallbearers are Tig Gates, Aubrey Gates, Bimbo Chapman, Charles Sawyer, Danny Frasier, Joe Lafleue, and Roger Eubanks. Honorary pallbearers are Dickie Chapman, Paul Chapman, and Wayne Bareswill. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville with Rev. Don Reeves, assited by Rev. Woodson McGuffie officiating. Interment will follow in Rocky Branch Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville, LA.
