KATHERINE DIANNE BURFORD

Services for Katherine Dianne Burford age 55 of Rocky Branch, LA will be 
Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Griffin Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA. 
Visitation for friends and family will be from 12:00 until time of service 
beginning at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Scott Jennings will be officiating with Billy 
Joe Youngblood and Reverend Woodson McGuffe assisting. 

Dianne was born on October 3, 1957 in Franklin Parish, LA to James Paul "Bo" 
Robinson and Evelyn Lorraine Wiggins. Dianne departed from this earth on 
Thursday February 21, 2013 at her residence after a lengthy illness, surrounded 
by her loving family and close friends. Dianne was baptized at First Baptist 
Church of Bernice and was a true believer in her almighty God. She was retired 
from Union Parish School System. 

Friends and family will always remember Dianne's ability to light up a room 
with her smile and laughter. She had a gift for making everyone feel special 
and loved. She loved her family and adored her children and grandchildren. Her 
passions were spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, dancing, Pokeno, 
and being with friends. 

She is preceded in death by her step father Bobby Wiggins, mother-in-law, Lavon 
Burford, father-in-law, Gary Burford, and brother-in-law, Jimmy Averitte of 
Hallsville, TX; grandparents, James Henry and Josie Evelyn Brumfield and Ed and 
Ethel Robinson.

She is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Dale Burford; devoted son, 
Clint Stephenson & special friend Meagan Marsalis; beloved daughter, Natasha 
Arant & special friend Shane Peters; daughter, Janelle Snellings and husband 
George, Son, Chad Burford and wife Morgan. She was affectionately known 
as "Granny" by her 13 precious grandchildren, Emma-Claire Stephenson, Alan-
Michael Stephenson, Anna-Grace Stephenson; Lexie Martin and husband Jonathan, 
Gabby Brown,Mallorey Brown, Chloe Brown, Sallie Jayne Snellings, Georgia 
Snellings, George Snellings V "Quinn", Blayne Burford, Peyton Burford, Parker 
Burford, one great-grandchild Madilynn Dianne Martin born February 19, 2013. 
She is also survived by her parents, beloved James Paul "Bo" Robinson and Mary 
of Hamburg, AR. Her beloved mother Evelyn Lorraine Wiggins of Shreveport, LA; 
cherished sisters, Patricia Averitte of Hallsville, TX; Emma Jean Maxwell and 
husband Charlie of Hermitage, AR; Lori Ann Trevino and husband Robert of Little 
Rock, AR; Tammy Lowrey and husband David of Sterlington, LA; Tracy Maxwell and 
husband Russell of Hamburg AR; Wendy Holland and husband Mike of Sterlington, 
LA. Also other family members that loved her and were special to her heart were 
her sister-in-law, Janice Gates and husband Aubrey of Rocky Branch; brother -in-
law Keith Burford and wife Allyson of West Monroe, LA; numerous nieces, 
nephews, family and friends. Special recognition of three girlfriends as close 
as sisters, Jackie Brazzel, Boodro Cobb and Wanda Chapman.

The family would like to give a special Thank You to Dale and Dianne's Friends 
from Rocky Branch that have supported and loved them through this difficult 
journey.
